| Just to get ROMs on my wii, but still.
I want to see how the motehr games play on a television.
Imma have moar classics and stuff, too.
imma start with:
NES: Mega Man 2 EarthBound Zero Mega Man
SNES: Pac man 2: the new adventures (which has the original pac man on it, too.) EarthBound Lufia (I want to try it out...)
GBA: Mother 3 (first game imma try) Sword Of Mana (underrated) Kirby: Nightmare in dreamland (even though the NEs version is better, I already have that one...) |

| Rasen, I don't mind using Homebrew to play games like MOTHER that aren't on VC, but you should just download the MegaMan games you listed since they're already on VC for only 500 Points.
The only games I have on HBC on my Wii are EarthBound, MOTHER 3, and Seiken Densetsu 3.
Everything else I just downloaded off of VC.
I don't think it's wrong to use HBC to play the MOTHER games or Imports since Nintendo blatantly ignores the demand for them, and since you really have no other choice, but as for games like MegaMan that are cheap and easy to download off of VC, that's just straight forward piracy. |

| Yeah, I know there on there, but my mom hates me having to use her credit card for things, and there are like no wii point cards around here.
Also, Its just a game IMO... I pirate anything that isn't this gen or last gen, pretty much. |

| Well let me know how it works out, because I want the HBC on my Wii just for the MOTHER games. |

| As my old wii is dying and will no longer play 50% of my games or even boot up (and has garbled mess all over the HOME menu) I'm considering getting a shiny black wii and Homebrewing this one, so I too would like to hear your progress. |

| IDK, but my SD card (2 GB, sandisk, and for wii) is "write protected" even though I have the notch on the side of the card on unlock. |

| Well, anything SD related "for Wii" is likely designed to not work with the computer. It's a real rip off, you end up paying 200-300% more for than the card than it's retail value of a normal SD card and gain nothing. I suggesting checking around for another regular SD card and trying it or looking up a way to use that one in your computer (a bit obvious, but meh...) |

I'm sure your mom would feel better about you using her credit card than she would about you pirating the games though, don't you think?
Oh, and although it is possible to run Homebrew off of a Wii-Specific SD Card, you're better off using a cheaper ordinary SD Card.
Also, while we're on the subject of Homebrew... Is there anyway to access Wii Shop Channel without doing a System Update? I want to download the upgraded Internet Channel, but I'm still on Firmware 3.4, and I don't want to upgrade in fear that the latest updates would detect my WiiKey2 Modchip and brick my system.
Is there a way to bypass the update like with games, or do I have no choice to update?
Furthermore, does anyone know if Wiikey2 is detectable? I've never heard anybody with Wiikey2 mentioning their Wii getting bricked online, but I'd rather be safe than sorry. |
