Boomerang and I were talking about it yesterday, I REALLY want to play the MOTHER series on my Wii but I don't want it to fuck up my Wii so should I buy another Wii just for that purpose or is it safe to do it on my current Wii?

Well, although I'm no expert I think if you do it correctly your only fear is being bricked by system updates... so if you do, never update without researching whether or not that will be "the one".

YOu put some programs on an SD card, IIRC

The T.Hack helped with the SD as a soft mod or whatever it's called. For goodness sake never update if you do it, hell I'm maybe on 3.1 or something still... the workarounds take time but, basically, if you only want it for games and nothing more, then you only need to worry about how current your Wii is...
