I have a copy of Super Mario All-Stars: 25th Anniversary Limited Edition on the way, and it's gotten me thinking of all the old games I used to play when I was a kid. My family didn't make alot of money back then, but there were certain games that I played the hell out of, and here they are...

10.) Target Renegade (NES)
This is one of my memories, and a nostalgic one, but not necessarily a good one... Target Renegade is crappy Double Dragon ripoff with bad controls, terrible music, poor level design, constant flicker, and laughable enemy designs, but what can I say? Scrapper & I used to play the hell out of it, and even beat it.

9.) Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt (NES)
This was the first game I ever played, and it holds a special place in my memories as such. However, it is not my number 1 most nostalgic game. Shocked

8.) Double Dragon (NES)
Double Dragon was one of my favorite games from back in the day, and were this topic about the best NES games I'd ever played it would get a spot closer to the top, but this is about nostalgia, and there are other games that bring up fonder memories.

7.) Ninja Gaiden (NES)
Despite it's difficulty and outright cheapness, Ninja Gaiden was one of my favorite games to play as a kid. No matter how many times I died and left angry, I always came back for more!

6.) MegaMan (NES)
Another cherished childhood memory that I'm sure many others share. MegaMan was a game that when I wasn't playing it myself, I was watching Scrapper play it. It brings up both good and bad memories, happiness & regret, but it takes a high spot in my memories nonetheless.

5.) Pokemon Blue Version (GameBoy)
Skipping ahead afew years is Pokemon Blue Version, which despite being a more recent game, brings forth greater memories than those I listed before.

Stay tuned for part 2... (Damn DSi Browser)

Sorry about that, folks... My DSi Browser has limited memory, and we haven't gotten a replacement for our busted laptop yet, so I had to break this in half.

4.) The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64)
Another game from later in time, OoT for the N64. My family skipped directly from NES to N64, so you can imagine how blown away we were by the graphics, but that isn't what made OoT special. OoT was easily the most atmospheric game I'd played at the time, and to this day I'm a huge stickler for atmosphere in games, so OoT is a very nostalgic memory for me.

3.) Little Nemo: The Dream Master (NES)
Going back to the NES days, is Little Nemo: The Dream Master. I loved the movie, and I love the game. The funny part is, neither me nor Scrapper ever beat this game! (couldn't figure out how to beat the final boss) Yet for me it's still a very nostalgic game.

2.) A Boy And His Blob: Trouble in Blobonia (NES)
Part of me would really like to give this my number one spot, but as much as I love this game and all the fond memories I have of playing it, it's not number 1.

1.) Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES)
Super Mario Bros. 3 is easily my most nostalgic gaming memory. I loved this game like crazy, and I still do to this day! SMB3 is simply a classic, an excellent game with lots of variety and fun, despite the old hardware it runs on.

What are your Top 10 most nostalgic games from your childhood?

Pokemon Yellow and Crystal. I actually came in the Pokemon game fandom around 2nd gen, (had watched the show since 1st gen) but I got Yellow before Silver and later Crystal. Why? My little brain thought the first one would be easier. XD

I played lots of Playstation games including Crash Bandicoots 2 and 3 and Spyros 2 and 3 back in the day. They're OK games looking back, but I still played through Spyro 2 about a year ago for the nostalgia factor.

There's also Suikoden 1, but I never got very far in that and I didn't really like it in the past or present.

And finally there's Sonic Adventure DX and Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. So cheesy. So awesome.

^ Crap, I forgot Spyro! Those games defined my childhood. Still have the PS1 trilogy on disc.

10: Call of Duty: World at War (Wii)
So right now you're probably all like "what? 2008 isn't that long ago!" but yeah, this was back when I was a gamebattles pro and people on the gamebattles boards actually knew me as "that guy who snipes like a boss" since I was the first to really figure out how to snipe properly on Wii. (Long story short, don't want to bother you with gameplay mechanics) but then I stopped playing for like a month, pretty much everyone got better than me (via my strategies, too!) and I faded from memory ;_; and also my clan back then was cool, now It's a wretched hive of scum and villainy. Also made my best friend on the Internet from this game! (I made a fail sprite comic with him if you oldies here remember)

9: Sonic The Hedgehog 2 (Gen)
When I was 11 me and my best friend would play through this game about once a month. Then his brother spilled milk on his Genesis and he got a PS2... Which we got the Sonic collection for a week later. Razz

8: Halo 1: (Xbox)
Me and my cousin (you'll read about him below) pulled an all-nightstand with this game on splitscreen. It was hilarious and I got to learn a lot about him, and stuff... XP

7: EarthBound: (SNES)
I've played through EarthBound 40 times. All my playthroughs took like a week... lol. I was an addict. This was when I was 10-13 or so.

6: Banjo Kazooie/ Tooie (N64)
I borrowed both of these from a friend when I was little. I know them like the back of my hand.

5: Bomberman Hero: (N64)
This. Game. Was. AWESOME! I really can't say why I loved it so much, but pretty much my whole 2nd grade was this game.

4: Star Fox 64 (N64)
Me and my friends always huddled around a TV and did playthroughs on Expert-Hard route in first person/cockpit mode. Shit was INTENSE.

3: Zelda: Ocarina of Time: (N64)
So much magic! This game feels like the coolest adventure ever when you're little. So what if you can't read half the words?

2: Super Mario 64: (N64)
Little Rasen saw a thing moving around on TV. Little Rasen also saw his cousin punching his thumbs into some funny looking astic thing. First game I ever played.

1: Zelda: Majora's Mask: (N64)
I remember getting thus game day 1 with said cousin. We figured out every puzzle by ourselves and it felt like the two of us were actually saving the world.

0: Pokemon Red played via N64 Pokemon Stadium transfer pak:(GB/N64)
Pokemon was pretty cool... Wait, Pokemon on a TV? YES!

-1: Paper Mario: (N64)
This game taught me how to read.

Other mentions I don't feel like writing about: Link's Awakening, Duck Hunt, Star Wars pod racing (Came with my N64) SSB64, Zelda: Oracle of Seasons, SMB 1-3, Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins
