| I want to play Persona 4, but I have no PS2 or Mem card or anything. I just want a PS2 again for this one game, and none of my friends have one, so I'd like to buy one for dirt cheap (looking 30 bucks or less).
Anyone know where to get one? If GameStop's used game return policy applies to consoles, please tell me as well. |

| Look around game stores.
They go for what? $25 now? |

| Over here they're still quite expensive (I can't remember but I think around £50). I guess trade-ins work for consoles too, I brought both my PSP and DS pre-owned from Game. (Funny thing was they were both pretty much brand new, the kid just didn't want them apparently haha)
Best to check local first, just phone them up and ask what price they are. Then you could try ebay but you'll have to be very careful with consoles. That reminds me there is a shop in Coventry called CEX which is an electronics shop and they sell PS2s there for.... cool it says £25 xD |

| Wish I knew... I looked everywhere for a cheap PS2, but finding no satisfactory results, I caved and bought a brand spankin' new one.
It's worth it to me because I have a huge backlog of PS2 games that I wanna get into...
Xenosaga Episode 1 Xenosaga Episode 2 Xenosaga Episode 3 Ar Tonelico 2 Deus Ex: The Conspiracy Red Faction .Hack// Infection .Hack// Mutation .Hack// Outbreak .Hack// Quarantine
I'm currently playing Xenosaga Episode 1 and loving it!

| ^ You mean watching Xenosaga Episode 1, right? =P I should start that game up again, I quit when they made you save between cutscenes (I mean really? Why make it a game?!)... |

Meh, I don't mind a game being cutscene heavy or an Interactive Movie. In fact, sometimes it's a nice change of pace...
Case in point, I LOVED MGS4 Dead Space Extraction, & Heavy Rain.
Books, Movies, Games... They're all relative forms of entertainment, and most games these days have a story involved. If the story is good and the gameplay is fun, (no matter how scant it may be...) then I'm not going to complain.
Xenosaga is an enjoyable experience no matter how you slice it. I'm not gonna pass on a great game just because it's mostly cutscenes. |

| Yeah, I used to not have a problem playing games for the story (.Hack for example. AWFUL games, great story) but as I've gotten older and spent more time with games and writing my own stories, it ticks me off. I shouldn't have to play something when it has no real reason for being a game. The gameplay and story should be connected, not clashing with one another as the player plods through one or the other to get to the part they enjoy. |
