| It's still unconfirmed whether MH3 will be F2P yet or not, but some never evidence makes it look less than encouraging...
Gamestop is giving away MH3 Themed 500pt Nintendo cards for preordering MH3, & 500pts just so happens to be the monthly fee for MH3 in Japan.
Less than encouraging... However, GS did the same thing for preordering NSMBWii, and that game has neither online play nor DLC, so it could be a mere coincidence.
I suppose we'll just have to wait and see whether or not MH3 will be F2P online or not, the question is... Will you be buying MH3 if it's Pay to Play?
I'm still on the fence about it personally... $5 a month ain't bad, but I can't help but think it would be an all around better investment of my money to wait until MH3 hits $20 or less in the case that the game turns out to be Pay to Play, as I really rather not pay $50+ an additional $5 per month to get the full experience.
At any rate, we'll see... I expect an official announcement regarding the cost of online play by GDC. (March 9th-13th) |

| Of course I'll still get Tri if it's pay to play. Heck, the only time played Monster Hunter with friends before was Frontier Online, and that's in Korean. Monster Hunter is still an amazing 1 player game.
I'm mad that they removed gun lances, bows, and duel swords from Tri! |

(Just to clarify, I'm using P2P as an acronym for "Pay to Play" not Pier to Pier, which is the official meaning of the acronym "P2P" the game is server based, not Pier to Pier)
Like I said, it's all just speculation at this point, it hasn't been officially confirmed whether or not it's P2P or F2P. |
